I am leaving for Spain in 48 hours. I can't wait for this summer abroad. I love traveling and taking pictures so its time to get back to Europe. Right now I am mostly excited but also nervous about the initial night with the host family on Sunday night. Hopefully, we can get right into the language barrier and get past that as soon as possible. That's the biggest thing. After that I can't wait to get up in the morning see the city everyday and live there as the locals do. The food, the drinks, and architecture are going to be amazing. I think the biggest experience of this trip will be living as a Spaniard does and living in the language.
It's a great opportunity to get out of our textbooks and into the Spanish speaking world. Ordering food and getting directions in a practical way should bring it all to life. This summer couldn't get better.
Can't wait to get to know everyone in the program and see how much we can learn together.
